One day, countless experiences – finance, ecology and creativity at INTEURO

On 21 July 2026, children from migrant backgrounds took part in an activity-filled integration meeting. The programme included financial education, a visit to the Museum of Dialogue of Cultures, an environmental workshop on making seed balls and further creative work on colourful miniature houses.

One day can bring an incredible number of new experiences, discoveries and creative ideas. This was exactly the case during another summer integration meeting for children from migrant backgrounds, which combined financial education, environmental awareness and artistic activities.

The programme was highly varied, allowing the children to learn through play, conversation, exploring the world together and taking part in practical activities. Each part of the meeting focused on a different subject, but all of them encouraged curiosity, cooperation and the development of new skills.

How can we save money for our dreams?

The day began with practical activities devoted to saving and making thoughtful decisions about money. The children learned not only how to count money, but above all how to understand its value and make sensible choices.

During engaging exercises, the participants considered the difference between needs and wants, how to plan a simple budget and what they could do to gradually save money for a chosen goal or personal dream.

People and their impact on the environment

The next part of the programme was a visit to the Museum of Dialogue of Cultures and the exhibition “People and the Environment”. The group was guided by Joanna “Asia” Kwiecień, who explained the relationship between people and nature in an engaging and accessible way.

The children learned how people have transformed their surroundings over the centuries to meet their needs and how these changes have affected nature and the planet. The exhibition also provided an opportunity to discuss responsibility for the environment and the importance of small everyday actions.

Seed balls for a greener city

Inspired by their visit to the museum, the children moved straight into practical action. During an environmental workshop, they made seed balls by hand using soil and flower seeds.

Each participant could take their seed ball home and sow it in a suitable place, for example near their home or on a lawn. Over time, flowers may grow from it, adding colour to the surroundings and creating a welcoming space for insects.

Colourful houses take shape

After returning to the INTEURO InfoPoint, the children enthusiastically continued working on the miniature houses they had started during earlier activities. They painted them, added new details and decorated them according to their own ideas.

Every piece was different and reflected the imagination of its young creator. The workshop provided space for free creative expression, mutual inspiration and spending time together in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

We would like to thank Joanna “Asia” Kwiecień for an interesting tour full of fascinating facts at the Museum of Dialogue of Cultures. We also thank all the children for their energy, enthusiasm and active participation. Many more shared adventures and new ideas still lie ahead.

📌 Important: the meeting combined financial, environmental and artistic education. Children from migrant backgrounds learned how to plan their savings, explored the impact of human activity on the environment, made seed balls and developed their creativity during art workshops.
