Świętokrzyskie legends in autumn colours. INTEURO workshops in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski

The INTEURO InfoPoint in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, based at the Polish Red Cross (PCK), hosted further sessions in its series of multicultural workshops for women. This time, the creative work drew inspiration from the legends and fairy tales of the Świętokrzyskie region and its autumn scenery.

Participants used acrylic paints to create an autumn landscape of the Świętokrzyska Forest. Their paintings featured regional motifs and the mysterious figure of a witch, drawing on stories they had explored earlier. Each woman could portray this world in her own way through her choice of colours, details and mood.

Regional stories brought to life in paintings

The finished works combined the beauty of autumn scenery with imagery drawn from local folklore. Each painting was a personal interpretation of the region’s stories. Painting allowed participants to revisit familiar tales, explore their motifs and give them a form of their own.

The workshops offered an opportunity to develop imagination, discover artistic skills and explore the heritage of the place where participants live. Legends and fairy tales provided a starting point for getting to know the culture of the Świętokrzyskie region more closely.

Creativity that brings people together

Creative sessions at the INTEURO InfoPoint also support integration. Working together provides time to talk, get to know one another and share ideas. Creating art in a group helps build relationships and a sense of belonging to the local community.

Thank you to all the participants for their creative energy and for joining us for more sessions in our series!
