May Holiday 2026 in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship – Event Guide

The May holiday in the Świętokrzyskie region is a perfect opportunity to exchange city noise for picturesque landscapes, live music, and interesting historical and family events.

This year’s programme is so diverse that everyone will find something for themselves – history lovers, families with children, and people looking for active recreation alike.

We have gathered the most interesting attractions from across the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship to help you plan a long weekend and show how many wonderful experiences await in the heart of Poland. It is a great time to discover the region, learn about local traditions, and spend time in an inspiring atmosphere.

Below you will find selected events and places worth considering while planning your May getaway.

• 70s and 80s Dance Evening in Brody – May 2, 6:00 PM–10:00 PM. Outdoor dancing, refreshments, and attractions for the whole community. Free entry.
• Wąchock Music Days – from May 1 to May 3. For three days the town becomes the musical centre of the region. Concerts by Lombard and Playboys, as well as evening discos. Free entry.
• Literary May Holiday in Pacanów – The European Fairy Tale Centre has prepared a special programme for children. Book characters come to life, creating a magical atmosphere for families. Ticket price: 20 PLN.
• Festival of Flavours in Tokarnia – May 2 and 3, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A celebration of regional tastes in the open-air museum. Local products fair and folk performances. Tickets: 6–12 PLN.
• May Holiday at Krzyżtopór Castle – In Ujazd you can enjoy the atmosphere of a historical picnic. Knight fights, archery workshops, and castle tours are planned. Regular ticket: 22 PLN, reduced: 19 PLN.
• Miedzianka Mountain and Museum in Miedzianka – A great option for those who appreciate nature, panoramic views, and local history. Access to the mountain is free, while guided museum tours reveal the secrets of old mining traditions. Museum tickets: 12–15 PLN.
• Little Explorers’ May Holiday in Nowa Słupia – An interactive journey into the world of ancient Slavs. Children can become archaeologists and craftsmen. Tickets: 5–18 PLN.
• Botanical Garden in Kielce – The May holiday is also a great time to visit during the season opening. A perfect place for a walk, relaxation, and spring photos among flowers with a view of the Świętokrzyskie hills. Entry: 5 PLN.
• Retro Train “Ciuchcia Ponidzie” – Rides will take place on May 1 and May 3. A unique chance to travel on a historic narrow-gauge railway through the picturesque Ponidzie area. Advance booking required.
• Amusement Park “Sabat Krajno” – A place for those who want to combine relaxation with fun. Attractions include the Miniature Avenue, amusement park, and rope park. Please note that one ticket is valid for the entire day.
