Glass painting and integration at the INTEURO InfoPoint in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski
On 24 June 2026, creative integration workshops for foreigners were held at the INTEURO InfoPoint in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. The main theme of the meeting was glass painting with folk motifs and nature-inspired patterns, and the event was organised in cooperation with the Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski branch of the Polish Red Cross.
Integration workshops for foreigners were held at the INTEURO InfoPoint in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski as part of the project “INTEURO – integration of foreigners in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship”. The meeting was an opportunity for conversation, exchange of experiences and learning more about the support available to people living in the region.
The INTEURO InfoPoint in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski operates under an agreement with the local branch of the Polish Red Cross. Thanks to this cooperation, foreigners can benefit from free assistance closer to their place of residence, without the need to travel to Kielce each time.
The main theme of the workshops was glass painting with folk motifs and patterns inspired by nature. Participants created their own works, drawing inspiration from tradition, nature, colours and symbols associated with folk culture. Artistic activities became a starting point for conversation, cooperation and getting to know one another.
During the meeting, participants also talked about everyday challenges related to living in Poland, official matters, adaptation to the local environment, communication and opportunities for active participation in social life. An important element of the workshops was integration – building mutual trust, openness and a sense of security.
The workshops were practical, creative and participant-friendly. Those taking part in the meeting could ask questions, share their own experiences and receive information about further forms of support offered as part of the INTEURO project.
The meeting showed how important it is to create local first-contact points for foreigners – places where people can receive reliable information, talk in a friendly atmosphere and obtain specific support in matters related to residence, integration, work, education and everyday life in Poland.
