Foreign senior citizens celebrated the upcoming anniversary of the Constitution of May 3

The integration workshops for seniors, organized on April 29, 2026 by the Association “Integration Europe–East,” became a special opportunity to celebrate together the approaching anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of May 3.

The meeting had an artistic character, but its significance went far beyond creative activity – it became a space for dialogue, integration, and building an intergenerational and intercultural community.

Participants eagerly engaged in painting fabric tote bags, decorating them with white-and-red hearts – symbols of patriotism, unity, and solidarity. Each bag was unique, reflecting the individuality of its creator while fitting into a shared theme of national colors. The atmosphere encouraged conversations, exchange of experiences, and mutual understanding, which is particularly important in the context of social integration of seniors.

The workshops were also accompanied by a short lecture on the historical significance of the Constitution of May 3. Participants had the opportunity to revisit the circumstances of its adoption, its role in shaping a modern state, and its importance for Polish national identity. The lecture provided a valuable complement to the artistic part, combining education with practical engagement.

The event was carried out as part of the “INTEURO – integration of foreigners in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship” project, which aims to support intercultural dialogue and social activation of various groups of the region’s residents. The workshops demonstrated that shared creative activities can effectively bring people together regardless of their origin, age, or life experience.
