17 June 2026 – Senior Club: protective amulets as a reminder of home, shared singing and conversations about summer traditions

Another Senior Club meeting took place at the INTEURO Centre, where participants spent time in a warm and friendly atmosphere, creating symbolic protective amulets, talking about summer and recalling traditions close to the heart.

Another Senior Club meeting took place at the INTEURO Centre in Kielce. This time, a warm, homely atmosphere was combined with active time together, shared singing, competitions and conversations about summer, traditions and memories strongly connected with the feeling of home.

The participants created unique symbolic protective amulets by hand — in Ukrainian, oberehy (обереги) — intended to warm the heart, remind them of home and carry good thoughts. Each piece was different, personal and meaningful, while the creative process itself became an opportunity for conversation, cooperation and mutual support.

Everyone took part in the workshop with great enthusiasm. There were many smiles, moments of focus, mutual help and joy from the results of their own work. Meetings like this show how important community, kindness and the opportunity to spend time among people with similar experiences really are.

We hope that the protective amulets made during the meeting will long remind everyone of the good atmosphere, the time spent together and home — the one we carry in our memory and the one we are building together here in Poland.
