INTEURO Senior Club – Polish language, film and a friendly atmosphere during another meeting

On 3 June 2026, another meeting of the Senior Club operating at the Integration Europe – East Association took place.

It was another opportunity to meet, talk, integrate and spend time together in a friendly and calm atmosphere. The INTEURO Senior Club is a space where participants can not only develop their interests, but also strengthen relationships, share experiences and feel more confident in everyday life in Poland.

The meeting began with a discussion of current organisational matters. Together with the coordinators, participants summarised previous activities and talked about plans for the next Club meetings. This form of joint decision-making helps to better adapt the programme to the needs, interests and expectations of seniors.

An important part of the discussion was also planning the topics of upcoming meetings. Participants willingly shared their ideas, so the Senior Club can look forward to more interesting conversations, activities and integration events.

A special part of the meeting was the practical language element. This time, seniors practised listening comprehension in Polish in a light and enjoyable way — by watching a Polish film comedy together. Contact with living language, natural pronunciation, intonation and everyday expressions makes learning more relaxed and closer to real-life situations.

The film-based format turned out to be a very good way to combine learning with relaxation. The comedy brought many smiles and positive emotions, while at the same time helping participants become more familiar with the Polish language, humour and the culture of everyday communication.

Meetings like this show that learning, integration and social activity can go hand in hand regardless of age. The Senior Club has become a place where participants support one another, build relationships, talk about important matters and discover new opportunities together.
