Garden decorations from recycled materials – creative workshops at the INTEURO InfoPoint in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski

On 18 May 2026, another integration workshop for foreigners was held at the INTEURO InfoPoint in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. This time, participants created garden decorations from recycled materials, also using the decoupage technique.

The INTEURO InfoPoint in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski operates on the basis of the District Branch of the Polish Red Cross in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. It is the local animators who conduct activities carried out as part of our project, creating a space for integration, conversation, joint action and the development of creativity.

During the workshops, participants gave a second life to simple objects and materials that might otherwise have been thrown away. Using recycled elements, paints, decorative napkins and the decoupage technique, they created original decorations for the garden, balcony or terrace.

The activities were practical, ecological and integrative in nature. They were an opportunity to learn simple ways of creatively using available materials, while also spending time together in a friendly atmosphere. Each participant could prepare their own decoration and take it home as a keepsake from the meeting.

The workshops showed that integration can combine creativity, ecology and practical action. Making decorations together encouraged conversations, the exchange of ideas and the building of relationships between participants. It was also a good example of how, with limited resources, it is possible to create something aesthetic, useful and personal.

Thanks to the involvement of animators from the Polish Red Cross branch in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, the INTEURO InfoPoint remains a place of active meetings where foreigners can not only receive information and support, but also take part in activities that strengthen social ties and a sense of belonging to the local community.
