Geofestiwal Kielce 2026 – a unique encounter with nature, geology and active leisure

Ahead of us is the jubilee, 5th edition of Geofestiwal Kielce – one of the most important tourism and educational events in the region. It is a unique opportunity to discover the geological treasures of Kielce, spend active time with your family and learn about the extraordinary values of the Świętokrzyski UNESCO Global Geopark.

Geofestiwal in Kielce is an event that combines a fascination with geology, nature education, family recreation and activities in the city’s unique natural spaces. During the festival, participants will be able to learn what our planet looked like when it was covered by a tropical sea, discover the geological treasures of the region and take part in creative workshops and numerous outdoor attractions.

This year’s edition will be held under the slogan “Geofestiwal Kielce – 5 z natury!”. The event is planned for the last two weekends of May 2026 in three picturesque locations: Kadzielnia, the Geoeducation Centre at Wietrznia and the Botanical Garden.

When and where will Geofestiwal take place?

Geofestiwal Kielce 2026 will take place on the following dates:

  • 23–24 May 2026 – Kadzielnia,
  • 30 May 2026 – Geoeducation Centre – Wietrznia,
  • 31 May 2026 – Botanical Garden in Kielce.

Each location will allow participants to see Kielce from a different perspective – as a city that is exceptional in terms of nature, geology and tourism.

Attractions for children, adults and whole families

The festival programme is full of attractions for people of all ages. Participants can look forward to exhibitions, geological workshops, creative educational activities, field games, bicycle rallies, culinary workshops and music performances.

There will also be plenty of activities for those seeking stronger experiences. The programme includes zip-line rides, climbing competitions, cave exploration, via ferrata activities, kayaking trips and relaxation in unique natural spaces characteristic only of Kielce.

This is an event for everyone – children, young people, adults, families, geology enthusiasts, active people, tourists and those who simply want to spend their time in an interesting and inspiring way.

Geofestiwal Kielce TourPass

During the festival, Geofestiwal Kielce TourPass will also be available – limited discount cards allowing visitors to benefit from offers provided by the event partners, including restaurants, cafés, hotels and tourist attractions in Kielce.

The cards will be available on 23 May 2026 at Kadzielnia.

Kielce – a city unique by nature

Geofestiwal is not only an educational and recreational event, but also an opportunity to promote Kielce as an open, family-friendly and attractive tourist city. Every year, the festival attracts thousands of participants and makes it possible to discover the region’s unique natural heritage.

Kielce is a special place on the map of Europe. It is the only city in Europe with as many as 5 nature reserves within its boundaries and some of the oldest rocks on the continent. The city is part of the Świętokrzyski Geopark, which is included in the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
