The Sun That Stayed With Us – “Sun Catchers” Integration Workshop at the INTEURO Centre
During the integration art-therapy workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn how to create “Sun Catchers” in the symbolic form of the Tree of Happiness. The meeting combined creativity, relaxation, and meaningful conversations held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Working with delicate wire and colourful beads turned out to be something much deeper than simply learning a craft. It became a metaphorical process of “weaving” one’s own path, organising emotions, and finding inner strength for new challenges.
Wire roots and branches symbolised resilience and flexibility in life, while colourful stones and beads represented bright moments, dreams, and hopes that each participant placed into her creation.
Art therapy is above all about working with what we carry inside ourselves. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, while sharing a common activity, women were able to talk about the difficulties they face every day, exchange experiences, and hear words of support.
It was also a time for valuable advice about adaptation, life in a new environment, and mutual help.
The finished “Sun Catchers” will now brighten the homes of the participants, reminding them of community, women’s strength, and the beautiful time spent together.
- creative work with the “Tree of Happiness” form as a tool for reducing stress,
- building a support network and integrating women from Ukraine,
- sharing practical experiences about life in a new environment.
