Womanhood and nature – INTEURO integration workshops continue in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski

Twigs, dried flowers, lace and botanical details became part of artworks inspired by womanhood and Slavic traditions. The August gathering at the INTEURO InfoPoint in Ostrowiec brought together creativity, conversation, shared experiences and new connections.

In August, another round of integration workshops for women took place at the INTEURO InfoPoint based at the local Polish Red Cross (PCK) branch in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. The meeting continued a series of creative sessions where making things together provides an opportunity to meet others, talk and spend time in a friendly atmosphere.

Participants once again worked with materials inspired by nature: twigs, dried flowers, lace and botanical details. This time, the central theme was womanhood — a symbol of strength, beauty and closeness to nature. Simple elements came together in compositions that allowed each participant to express her own ideas and artistic sensitivity.

The artworks drew inspiration from Slavic traditions and their connections between nature and womanhood. They explored the symbolism of flowers, herbs and trees, as well as the image of women as guardians of the home and keepers of family traditions. These themes provided a starting point for individual creative interpretations.

The result was a collection of unique artworks rich in symbolism — each different, each telling its own story. The variety of materials and ideas allowed participants to give their creations a deeply personal character.

The workshops also provide a space for integration. Shared activities encourage new friendships, the exchange of experiences and an appreciation of traditions from different homes and countries. This combination of creativity and human connection gives the sessions their special value.
