Educators from the Non-Public AWANS Dormitory in Kielce Enhance Their Skills through the INTEURO Project

The Association "Integration Europe – East" continues its mission to support educational staff working with young people from migrant backgrounds.

On April 1, 2025, the INTEURO training team visited the Non-Public AWANS Dormitory in Kielce – an institution that includes two student residences: “Asystent” and “Laura,” home to over one hundred students from various countries, including Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

The training for educators responsible for the care of foreign students was conducted as part of the initiative “Professionalization of staff working with TCNs in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship”, under the broader project “INTEURO – Integration and Vocational Activation Programme for Foreigners in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.” The goal of the training was to strengthen the staff’s competencies in working with migrant youth, focusing on adaptation, intercultural communication, and the social and emotional needs of students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Such initiatives are crucial to ensuring effective integration of foreign students, enabling them to fully participate in the educational and social life of the region. Given the positive feedback and the clear needs of the institution, a second group of educators from the AWANS Dormitory is scheduled to take part in training in the coming days.

The Association "Integration Europe – East" invites other schools, dormitories, and educational institutions from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship to join the initiative. Training sessions under the INTEURO project are entirely free of charge.
