The Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship has been becoming increasingly culturally diverse for many years. The growing number of foreigners – especially Ukrainian citizens – requires specific competencies from public institutions, social organizations, and employers.
In response to these needs, training sessions are being organized by the Association Integration Europe-East under the project “INTEURO – Program for the Integration and Vocational Activation of Foreigners in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship”.
One such specialized training took place on June 4, 2025, in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. Officials from the Ostrowiec County participated free of charge, thanks to co-financing from the European Funds for Świętokrzyskie 2021–2027 program.
The training was conducted by legal advisor Łukasz Chlebny, who presented key legal and organizational issues related to the stay of foreigners (specifically Third-Country Nationals) in Poland in an accessible way. Topics included the rules for entry and residence, types of work permits, and possibilities for running a business for non-EU nationals. Special attention was also given to healthcare access for Ukrainian citizens and local forms of support available in the Świętokrzyskie region.
Participants also had the opportunity to learn more about the INTEURO project, which has been effectively supporting the integration and vocational activation of foreigners in the region since 2024. The project includes Polish language courses, integration training, career counseling, psychological and legal support, and job fairs.
A key element of the training was a workshop focused on the so-called “catalogue of good practices” – a tool supporting those working with TCNs. Joint case studies and experience sharing helped participants better understand the challenges and discover more effective solutions when working with foreigners.
The Association Integration Europe-East sincerely thanks Mr. Łukasz Witkowski, Secretary of Ostrowiec County, and Ms. Kinga Włodarczyk from the Organizational and Administrative Department for their support in carrying out this initiative.
We invite employees of public institutions, offices, and NGOs to contact us. Until the end of 2025, we plan to conduct many more training sessions under the initiative “INTEURO Network – professionalization of staff working with TCNs in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.”
